“Unsex me here, and fill me…” This quote from Lady Macbeths silique speaks about how she wants to be turned into a male. The unsex me line is saying how she wants rid of here female traits. This is trading her female traits for power… Male power. In the time Shakespeare wrote Macbeth, Females were seen as weak and only used to satisfy males. She wanted to have more power and in her eyes the only way to do that is to reach out to the darkness. However in her silique she still speaks through Macbeth. Being more powerful, Macbeth has a high status but Lady Macbeth is hiding herself from the darkness. This may show a little evil In Lady Macbeth as she wants power but is planning to stay hidden from evil consequences. With her killer instinct she wants to make Macbeth see her ways of Evil.
